Christopher is a forensic social worker, author, and mental health advocate whose career has been defined by one central question: What keeps people trapped?
For years, he worked inside correctional facilities, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help incarcerated individuals identify and challenge the faulty thinking patterns driving their behavior. He was passionate about the work and deeply committed to his clients' transformation. But the question that changed his life wasn't one he asked a client; it was one he finally asked himself.
Christopher grew up navigating the lasting effects of bullying, internalizing messages about his worth that calcified into cognitive distortions he carried well into adulthood. When he finally recognized his own patterns, the same patterns he'd been trained to treat, he began the difficult, humbling, and ultimately liberating process of applying CBT to his own mind.
A Clinician's Escape From Prison is the result of that journey: a memoir that is equal parts personal reckoning and practical wisdom. Christopher now speaks on CBT, resilience, and mental health, particularly for teens and survivors of bullying, bringing both clinical expertise and hard-won personal experience to every conversation.
